The drawers of a fine quality hand-cut dovetailed construction with mahogany linings and the original brass handles.  With one long drawer with satinwood crossbanding, stamped Maple & Co. and beautiful satinwood inlaid stringing to the sides and back. Standing on four elegant square tapering mahogany inlaid legs terminating in the original brass cup castors and united by a shaped mahogany stretcher, also beautifully inlaid. Now fully restored A truly splendid example from Maple and Co, it displays the finest quality of design and craftsmanship in which they were renowned for. A superior piece in delightful original condition. Maple & Co. was a British furniture and upholstery manufacturer established in 1841 which found particular success during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The company became one of the prime makers and suppliers of furniture to the aristocracy and royalty in both the United Kingdom and around the world.
