A superb set of three Mid Victorian copper harvest/ale flagons. Amongst the best we have ever owned. Almost like a bloated pear shape, these flagons would have been filled with ale and taken to quench the thirst of farm labourers in the Summer months. The four gallon and two gallon flagons are in super condition whilst the one gallon has seen far more service and has had repairs to it’s neck. The construction of these flagons is really unusual in that the original castellated seam to the handle side of the main collar of the body and going all the way around.
