Designed by Henry Walter Klein and handcrafted in teak by Bramin, this chair reflects the quiet mastery of Danish Mid-Century craftsmanship. Its defining character lies in the exquisite way the backrest meets the frame—a sculpted junction where the maker’s skill is intentionally revealed. The visible laminated join, composed of alternating rosewood inserts, creates a gentle rhythm of dark and warm tones, each layer testifying to the patient, time-honoured methods that shaped it. The seat, woven in resilient Danish paper cord, holds the understated beauty of classic Nordic design. Where age had begun to leave its trace, selected strands have been thoughtfully renewed, reinforcing the structure while preserving the chair’s original soul. A piece of calm elegance, it stands not merely as furniture, but as a small ode to the traditions that shaped Scandinavian woodworking—faithful, enduring, and crafted to be cherished for generations. We currently have four additional chairs in stock, each featuring a flat-woven paper-cord seat, allowing this piece to be combined with they to form a harmonious set of ten chairs. Price for the additional chair is £600 These chairs are preserved in their original state, radiating a distinctive patina that speaks of time and care. The original Danish paper cord, taut and graceful, complements the seat pads—also in fine Danish paper cord—both in remarkable condition, retaining their authentic charm and enduring beauty. Dimensions: L x W: 49 x 46 Seat pad height: 46 cm Height of the chair: 75.5 cm
