Anti-Vibration Floor Mat with Soundproofing core – AVFM

Most of the soundoproofing products address the airborne sound going through walls, doors and ceilings.  Floors are “expected” to be soundproof enough. But they are often not. Another issue with sound is what is called – Structure borne sound. Meaning the sound vibrations that are carried throughout a building via the building structure itself. It is an excellent product for decoupling your audio recording and electronic equipment. ( DECOUPLING is a process of separation. In our case it is separation of recording equipment from a structural noise. Or separation of sound source, such as drums from the building) Decoupling works both ways : If you record – placing a microphone on the antivibration mat will remove sound vibrations carried over through microphone stand to the microphone itself. If you play – Setting up a drum set on the antivibration mats will reduce the vibrations of sound waves transferring from the drums into the floor. The Antivibration Floor Mat with soundblock has three important layers in it that work synergistically to enhance each other: 1/16 inch Traffic resistant floor vinyl – to provide durable washable surface to walk on. 1/8 inch mass loaded vinyl – to block sound energy transmission; 1 inch Rubber padding – to cancel sound waves and resonant vibrations; The thick antivibration rubber padding is designed to be laid on the floor and the smooth traffic resistant vinyl layer designed to be facing upwards. This anti-vibration mat with soundproofing is the same floor mats that are  used in conjunction with our Sound Proof(er) booths, to isolate them from the floor and to provide additional sound proofing and vibration absorption that might transfer through the floor.  Each mat is 1 inch thick with an additional soundproofing layer added to provide a stable surface for a booth to stand on. The mat set are oversized to accommodate a 3×3 booth so the footprint of the booth sits on top to isolate it from the floor vibrations. Exact dimensions are 20.5″ wide and 41″ long and 1″ thick, each.
